O Christmas Tree
So Monday December 6th we headed out to buy our live Christmas tree. The plan was to come home and decorate it for family night. Well that plan changed as we were on the way home and we heard a weird sound from the little one in the back. We look back to see her vomiting repeatedly. We get pulled over and I had absolutely nothing with me except for some napkins so I wiped her mouth and headed home for a good scrubbing. Needless to say we did not decorate that night but spent it cleaning up a child and carseat. I had also lost my phone along side the road when I jumped out to help her but Kyle went back and luckily found it unharmed.

A couple of days later we were able to decorate the tree. This is Taytum looking at the tree that has now inhabited the front room.
She has done very well with the ornaments on the tree. She will touch them but she hasn't tried taking them off or anything.
Daddy and Tayters by the completed Christmas tree.
Trying to get a family picture near the tree but we obviously didn't get to much of the tree.
Taytum enjoying my snowman table.

Gingerbread House
My visiting teachers gave us this pre-built Gingerbread House. Taytum and I got to work on decorating it.She insisted on eating the gingerbread tree and this was her contribution to our project and I did the rest.
Taytum playing with box and candy.

Pike Christmas Party

As kids, mom would read the story of Baby Jesus using this coloring book. I love that she continues to do so for our kids.
Scrunched on the couch.
Cooper being the youngest got to go first. What a cutie. As always, my parents spoiled their grandkids rotten but they obviously really enjoyed it.
A new cute hat for winter.
She did a little better this year of opening presents but was still timid about it.
The anticipation of what's in the bag.
Taytum got this rocking horse that sings and neighs. No worries, Kyle and I hum the song it sings day in and day out. She loved it. She pretty much stayed on it the rest of the morning.
Luke got a tractor bike.

Kennedy and Jacey got this huge barbie play house. The cool thing about it. Is that my dad made all the furniture and my mom decorated the rooms with curtains, bed spreads, etc.. Pretty neat.
A close up of the kitchen.

My dad also made this cupboard for Emree. Growing up we had a cupboard exactly like it. Kennedy and Jacey got one and now Em is getting hers. One day we hope Taytum will get one and that we will have a place to put it :).
Mom and Dad gave all of us kids food storage which is greatly appreciated.
Cody, Angela and Emree.

Katie and Jeremy sporting their jammies and bed head. :) Angela and Katie's families stayed over the night before. We chose not too since we were just getting over some crazy stomach virus.

The kiddos. We sure wish Brian and Jennie lived closer so that their clan could be here as well.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Mac's Christmas Party
Taytum Pulling one of her many faces.
My cousins Josh and Kassidy. Josh and I used to play a lot when we were much younger and I haven't seen him in at least 5 years because he lives out east but he surprised everybody and showed up at the party.
I'm always amazed at how many stocking there are each and every year.

Not really a great picture of my grandparents but it was all I could manage during this crazy event. They sure put in a lot of effort and time and its the party I've remembered since I was little.
Daddy helping Taytum open her stocking from Great Grandma and Grandpa Mac.

The Paxman Christmas Party.

Not to many of the Paxman clan was able to make it this year but we enjoyed lots of good food, games and great company.
The Tayter bug.
She doesn't look very happy but she is swinging her arms and dancing to the music.
Playing the game of Taboo.
Sharing memories of our favorite or memorable Christmas's. I enjoyed hearing the few stories shared. We sure missed having more of our Paxman family there.

OUR FAMILY CHRISTMAS!!
Here we are Christmas Eve watching the Nativity movie while eating cookies and hot chocolate. Your not going to see to many photos of Kyle and I Christmas day as it was more fun to watch Taytum not to mention how awful I looked that day with pajamas and bed hair.
Stockings hung by the chimney with care, hoping St. Nicholas would soon be there and boy did Santa deliver.
What a fun morning.
Taytum loving her puppy that was in her stocking.
I love this face. True expression for a Christmas morning
All the fun things Taytum found in her stocking.
Now for the presents under the tree. We were all pretty spoiled.
Taytum still didn't quite catch on to the whole ripping the paper thing. She would rip one piece then try putting it back but we had a great time.
A cat car that she can chase all over the kitchen.

A baby doll. We have plenty of stuffed animals around the house but no dolls so we thought it would be fun for her. She loves feeding it her bottle.
But at the end of the day, what does she like most: yep M&M's her favorite candy.
Kyle got seat covers for his truck and all of his temple clothing. I got some great shirts, jewelry, hair appointment and he mounted turkey feathers from the turkey I shot into a glass casing.

After opening presents, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Paxmans for breakfast and gift giving. We found out that Taytum absolutely loves egg nog.
ahhhhh. She loved it.
Sitting with Uncle Kirk opening presents.
Just playing and enjoying Christmas day. Merry Christmas everyone!
Random December Pictures
Emree and Cooper came over one night to play. We had fun.
Cooper. He was such a good and content baby.
I've decided I'm just going to wrap up an empty milk jug since she just loves playing with them.
A very rare moment where she will actually sit a moment and watch TV. Here she is watching Barney. She also likes Yo Gabba Gabba. I find them ridiculously silly but whatever will work.
I got home from work one day with many goodies that the student's had given me. I dropped everything on the floor and hit the restroom. I got back to find the little one had somehow opened one of the bags of cookies and was enjoying herself a treat.

The cute outfit and hat Grandma Pike gave me for Christmas.
What?? It's the Holidays. I'm supposed to eat lots of chocolate. Finishing off a beater of a brownie mix. YUM!
This big box of cookie cutters has provided many minutes of entertainment.
We got dumped on again and I loved it (except for the fact that Kyle has to drive the freeways in it) but it made everything so pretty and Taytum loved it as well.
We hope everyone has a great Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Hopefully I'll get one more post in about Christmas before the new year but no promises.
