April 2012

 EASTER 2012
We went to Morgan to my parents for a bunch of Easter Egg hunts.  We went up the night before and Angela and her kiddos were there also.  I had to include this picture of them playing "Ring Around Rosies" because Coopers smile is so big.
Lucky Grandma always gets bomb barded in the morning to watch cartoons together.
Eating breakfast to get ready for a busy day full of Easter egg hunts.
Lions Club Egg Hunt
The lions Club in Morgan always does the annual Easter egg hunt so we went again this year, it was fun but its always a fight to get an egg.
She didn't want get too close to this wacky looking bunny this year.
 Waiting with Daddy.
Looking at the field of eggs.  It is so hard for them to wait and there are sooo many people but we made out well.
Waiting in line to receive her basket
Checking out the basket that she won.  It was full of way too much candy.
 Senior Citizen Center Egg Hunt
Waiting for the Easter egg hunt to start at the Senior Citizen Center.  My mom had been invited to bring her grand kids to this hunt and it was by far the best and most fun hunt.  Not as many people and I didn't have to worry about her not getting any because there were so many for everybody.
As soon as they were told to go she walked over all the eggs just to get this yellow one that she had spotted before it had even begun.
She was excited to find eggs in a tree.
These little lizards she found in some of the eggs made her day and were a lot more fun than all the candy she received.
Grandma Grandpa Pikes Easter Egg Hunt
 Looking at all her loot.
Looking for more eggs amongst grandmas pinwheels.
Showing off the bazzilionth egg she received today.
Grandma gave her this dancing frog and a pretty dress.
It wouldn't be Easter if we didn't color of few eggs so after all the fun in the morning we colored eggs before going to bed.  We had decided to stay at my parents for Easter Sunday.
I found this little egg dipper at the store and it came in handy and kept her and her surroundings fairly clean.  She would check if every few seconds and then dunk it again.
Dipping eggs is lots of fun.
Coloring on her egg before she puts it into the dye.
Look at all our pretty eggs.  Taytum has realized that she loves to eat boiled eggs dipped in salt.
Looking for her basket Easter morning from Kyle and I.
I knew she would get plenty of candy so  I just got her a dress, book and a few trinkets for Easter.
This was the only picture she would let me take of her new dress.  She was being a little stinker when it came to cameras all weekend.
I think this is such a cute picture,  I only wish that my mom's eyes were open.
After church we went to my grandma mac's house for lunch and to say hi.  She of course had a little Easter something for the little one.  She spoils all her grand kids and great grand kiddos.
 Playing catch with great grandma.
Grandma Mac hid a few eggs for her to find.
Grandpa gives the best horse back rides.  She will make him do this forever and he goes along with it...spoiled.

 ZOO DAY
Over Spring Break we decided to go to the zoo with Grandma, Koreen and the kiddos.  It was a nice hot day and we had a lot of fun looking at the animals and eating a picnic lunch.

 Train Ride
Just barely tall enough to see over the gate and watch the elephants.
 Watching the elephants
The zoo goers minus Koreen and I who were obviously taking the picture.
 Watching the giraffes.
Strolling around eating her zoo crackers.  Last time we went to the zoo I couldn't get her to stay in her stroller, this time she didn't want to leave it so she got to ride most of the way.
The gorilla was the only real good animal picture I got.
 5 Little Monkeys
She thought the turtle shell at the park was pretty neat.
My little Tayter bug.  I love doing these things with her and I can't believe how fast she is growing.
Walking with Sarina, we had a great day at the zoo.
Our Cabin Stay
We got invited by Kyle's brother and nephew, Ryan to stay at a cabin in Yost as they looked for a turkey for Keldon. Taytum and I tagged along and Ryan's son Jack (Taytum's second cousin)was there and Taytum followed him around like a lost puppy but we had a great time and we had a lot of fun staying in such a nice cabin.
This sand area was the big hit, I bet she spent the majority of her time playing in it. We found sand in her hair many days after this trip, even after several baths.  Jack and Taytum played really well even though there is a two year difference.
She had fun climbing up and down these rocks.
On this morning she couldn't leave the cabin until she had all her supplies, Now she is ready to go sporting glasses, fishing pole and that purple "Dora" backpack she found inside and wouldn't let it go.
Jack was the pro and was teaching us what we should do to catch a fish, here he is with his catch.
Fishing with dad and her new princess fishing pole she received at Christmas
Taytum's first fish with her very own fishing pole,  I tried to get her to hold the fish but she wouldn't do it but she would kiss the dang thing when daddy told her too.
Kissing the fish before dad threw it back in the river.
She sat by this little stream for a long time throwing rocks and playing in the water.
 Blue Eyes
It wouldn't be camping if we didn't get a little dirty.
Taytum and I watching daddy fish some more.
Headed back to the cabin after a good afternoon of fishing .....just look at that dirty bum.

BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR JACEY AND  KATIE
Jacey had decided on a pool party so Taytum went swimming while Kyle and I watched from the sidelines. Taytum is grandpas girl and rarely leaves his side when they are in the same room.
Who knows how many times, Grandpa had to lift her to dunk the basketball but she loved every minute of it and kept saying "again."
Trying to learn how to float on her back but as you can see she would not let go of that basketball.
 The birthday girl.
She loved floating around on this pool noodle with Grandma.
Wouldn't be a party if we didn't end with a cupcake with lots of frosting.
Jacey and her friends enjoying cupcakes and presents.
We also went down to celebrate Katie's 30th birthday so we had dinner and lit 30 candles.
 Happy Birthday Katie.
We stayed the night and played the next day, Taytum loved the cows they kept fenced next to the house and sat there in that chair and fed them grass for a long time.  She would just laugh, because the cow would lick her fingers and she thought it was so fun.  Just look at that face of pure enjoyment.
My one random picture of the month, she is really starting to get into the "princess" thing and here she is sporting her crown and unfortunately not much else, but she wanted to pose for the camera.

A Marvelous March

We have had a great March though I have been frustrated with how the new blogger is set up so everything  is all messed up, and messed up on my page but this will have to do until I figure it out.

Jazz Read-a-thon
Every year our school is involved with the Jazz Read-a-thon where the student body has to read so many minutes to win a Jazz Player with the motive to improve  reading skills.  Since it was held during the afternoon session I brought Taytum with me.  She loved all the attention she got from my students.

Principal Phil Armstrong introducing Jazz Player, Gordon Hayward.  I've worked with Mr. Armstrong for 9 years and he has finally decided to retire this year, he's been great to work under and we will miss him.  I'm curious to see as to what next year will bring with a new principal.
Gordon Hayward reading to the student body.
The top reader for each grade level got to throw a pie in their teachers face, I've alluded this for 9 years but this happened to be my year.  Abi was the lucky winner and without hesitation threw the pie into my face. My co-worker was holding Taytum and was clapping and happy until the pie hit my face then she freaked out but by the end of the day I convinced her it was ok and that it was funny.
Gender Reveal Party
I thought it would be fun this time around to have a gender reveal party.  I made some invitations and invited family over for dessert.  They were instructed to wear pink for a baby girl or blue for a baby boy.

Great Grandma Mac with Taytum and Em.  My family got there quite a bit earlier so we were killing time and taking a bunch of pictures.
Katie and Kiddos
Us - even though we already knew the gender we wore the color we had thought all along so you will have to keep reading to see if we were right or wrong.
Great Grandma Mac
Grandparents

Team Pink
From the very beginning when we asked Taytum if the baby was a sister or brother she would always say sister so with the others she is supporting the Pink Team.

Team Blue
As you can see Team Blue was highly represented.
After pictures were taken everyone was able to choose a cupcake or cake ball where upon biting the color "pink" or "blue" was hidden inside.
Taytum doesn't care what color is inside as long as she can eat it.
And if you can't tell what color that is....ITS PINK.  We are excited to welcome another little girl into the Paxman household.  She is due the end of July.  I'm so happy that everything has gone well with this pregnancy thus far and I'm hoping that she and Taytum can be the best of friends.
Welcome Baby Girl Paxman

ST. PATRICKS DAY!

Waiting to go see if they caught Leonard the Leprechaun and see if had any gold behind.
Though Leonard was not caught this year he did leave her a note, coins, chocolate, and chalk.
Playing with her new set of chalk.  I love this little one.
Playing ball outside with grandpa.
Katie brought a Leprechaun game for the kids to play.
After all the excitement, I would say it is nap time.

RANDOM MARCH PICS

Playing with my ski mask and stopping to pose
One day she was playing in her room and she had found all the squirt bottle and hair brush and was giving her horsey a makeover.  She did this for a long time.  Hopefully the horse will still have hair when she's done.
This is when she finally realized I was in the room watching her.

Just crusing around the house having fun.

Many days after the gender reveal party she was still playing with the balloons.
