Colorado!!

We went to Colorado this past weekend to look for elk and deer sheds. We had a great time. We couldn't get to where we were originally were going to go because of snow levels but in the end were able to explore a little and see some great country. The weather was awesome and we finally got in some hiking after what seemed a long winter.

I was lucky enough to find a nice set of brown sheds.

I just need to mention that I beat the boys with the biggest and the most sheds!!

Travis and Kyle scoping out the land.

What a great trip, I hope we get to do it again soon.

Random Pics of Taytum

Here are some random pictures of what Taytum has been up to throughout this month of March

St. Patricks Day!
.

My sleeping angel. She always sleeps in touchdown mode with arms straight up.

We finally got to go for a stroller ride now that it's been a little warmer.

My staticky hair and Daddy!

Daddy also likes to put me upside down.

She got a walker from Aunt Annette and likes it most of the time.

I just love this picture!!

She likes her bumbo and having dinner with the rest of us now. Though we now have a high chair thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Paxman.

I'm Crazy! (or maybe it's just her mother who is crazy)

She loves bath and is making sure she gets me wet every time.

She is quite the piano player.

Projects
I started two projects. One: I decided to make my own baby food. So far I have made sweet potatoes, butternut squash, peas, and carrots. Now I'm on to making some applesauce, pears and pasta.

I got a new sewing machine for Christmas and then some patterns from my mother-in law so I decided to make Taytum a pair of pajamas for her birthday. I think they turned out great though I think they'll be to big for her first birthday.

Peek a Boo!!

It is so fun to play peek a boo with Taytum. She starts giggling almost instantly everytime we play. Here is a short clip of us doing just that. Sorry that the video is a bit bumpy for I'm trying to play the game and hold the camera. I just love her little personality that is starting to show. Besides Peek A Boo, lately she has become a flapper. She loves to flap her arms up and down and it is so funny!

The time has come to....

..............put the block on our blog so I am aware of who is checking it out. I've been wanting to do this for awhile but I kept putting it off but I think it will be best for our family.
I love to read other people's blogs, and I want all friends and family to continue looking at our blog. All you have to do is email me (cabecita25@hotmail.com) and give me your email and I will put you on the access list. As for anyone who looks at our blog but doesn't have a blog of your own, you will just need to get a Google account, which is free and easy to obtain, and then email me with your email address. Once I put the block on the blog, I'll send you an email and that email has a link that takes you to my blog once you sign in with your Google account. It might sound confusing but it's not and let me know if you need help setting up your google account.

I'm going to activate the block on
February 27 so please email me your email address if you want to see more of these cheesers and wild hairstyles!!!

HaPpy HaLf BiRtHdaY TaYtuM!!

So recently Taytum has learned how to stick her tongue out and blow. It is so funny and she just laughs and does it more. We love her so much and she is getting so fun with all of the new things that she is learning.

For her half birthday lunch, we decided to introduce her to vegetables. We gave her some sweet potatoes and she loved it and hardly pulled a face but kept reaching for more.

She is also getting very good and sitting with some support and reaches and hold her bottle.

Happy 6 months Taytum. We love you!!

Happy New Year!

January 1, 2010

New Years Eve found us at home with not much to do, nor did we care much to go out, but we managed to stay awake and tell each other Happy New Year at midnight! We went to bed knowing we wouldn't be getting much sleep because we had set the alarm for 4:30 a.m to go ice fishing. Thanks to a noisy neighbor and Taytum waking up at 3:00 we managed to get about 2 hours of sleep but it was worth it because we had so much fun.

Kyle and one of his many fish!!

You would never believe but we caught close to 200 fish. We both lost count after 80. Every time we dropped our line in the hole, a fish was on, it was crazy fun and it turned out to be a beautiful day. And I might just add that I definitely caught more fish than Kyle this time and he was fishing with two poles to my one. Love you sweetie! As you can see we mainly caught perch but a few of us were able to catch a few browns as well. We brought home 30 fish and had a nice perch dinner.

Taytum only wished she was old enough to come ice fishing but we left her with Grandma Paxman and the two of them had a great day together. We went out for about 2 minutes because i wanted to see her reaction to snow and show off one of her many hats that she got for Christmas.

PHOTO SHOOT

So we had some family pictures done and while we were at it, I had a lady do some pictures of Taytum as well, in many different outfits and poses. She did pretty good considering we were making her dress and sit in certain ways. We caught a few smiles, her beautiful blue eyes and classic Tayter poses.

I love her blue eyes.

She just may have inherited something from her mother in that she hates the frill and lace. I love how she's is totally disgusted in having to sit there but is still so cute.

Fingers in the mouth is a classic Tayter pose.

Taytum loves hands and always holds her own hands when not playing with ours.

I wish I had this one in color because I just think it's precious and would show off her blue eyes more. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I prefer color pics though I think the photographer did a fabulous job on all of these.

Cute!

This one was for Daddy. He bought her this red sox outfit to support his favorite baseball team.

I just love little feet!

Here are some of our Family Pictures.

Not sure why this one copied so small but if I make it larger it gets blurry.

Daddy's little princess.

ChRiStMaS FuN of 2009!!

Our Christmas 2009

Christmas morning. This is usually what we see every morning. She is such a good sleeper and wakes up pretty happy and her whole body just smiles when you go in and get her. I love that!

Taytum and her snowman stocking. I don't know what we'ld do without that binky. She just loves it and I'm sure it's going to be fun to wean her from it one day but as for now we enjoy having it around.

Where's Taytum?

Which present should I choose first??

Taytum and Daddy!

Taytum wondering if she can eat this green thing that is in front of her.

Taytum and Mommy!

Taytum's favorite part of Christmas morning was rolling around in all the wrapping paper. It was Christmas Eve that she figured out how to go from her back to tummy and now can't be stopped. It's fun to see her reach these new stepping stones in her development. Now if only she would learn to roll back over so we don't have to do it for her, will be nice.

The cutest present we got!

Christmas 2009!!

The Paxman Christmas Party

Sheridan, McKayla, Sarina and Mia with Taytum.
These girls just love Taytum to pieces and I'm glad that they live close by so that they can entertain her at times. The outfit that Taytum is wearing is a Christmas outfit that they wore when they were little so it was fun to dress Taytum up in it.

The boys playing a little basketball as we wait for the festivities to begin. We had a great dinner followed by a fun game of Jeopardy and Poison.

Jenny with little Ella. So cute!
I wish I would have got more pictures of everybody but with everything going on and Taytum not in a very good mood limited my picture taking.

Aunt Koreen and Taytum.
We really appreciate Aunt Koreen because she has helped us out by tending the little one while I am at work. I love knowing that Taytum is in good hands and with someone that loves and cares for her a lot. Thanks Koreen!

One of our Paxman traditions is to have a pinata. They start with youngest and work there way up. Taytum being the youngest got to go first. We need to work on her swing because I did most of the work :)

The Pike Christmas Party

Every year we gather at Great Grandma Mac's for dinner. We then play her famous "pass the present" game and end with our stockings. As you can see, she has many many gran and great grandkids that fills up a lot of space.

Great Grandma Mac has a stocking for each grandchild and every great-grandchild. This one is Taytums'. After Granma Mac's party we head to my mom and dads place in Morgan and visit and open presents there.

Taytum and her cousins sure got spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa. They each got church outfits, toys and books. Taytum got bath toys and an ABC doodad.

Lukester got a tractor with animals and loved it. I just love his eyes and how he smiles behind his bink.

Emree got a baby doll with a homemade carrier and diaper bag. She would carry it everywhere she'ld go. Very cute!

Jacey got a Dora doll with a matching tent and sleeping bags, all of which my mom had made.

Kennedy got the same thing except hers was a Hannah Montana one.

Daddy and Taytum playing with a new toy she received from Grandma and Grandpa Pike.

All the kids pitched in and got my parents a digital camera. If any of you know my mom well, she takes a lot of pictures, and was keeping the old film companies in business by all the rolls of film she would buy. Hopefully she can learn this camera well and enjoy it for years to come.

She is too precious. I love this cheeser we captured.

All the kids in their new Christmas outfits, too cute. I only wish Brian and his family lived a bit closer so that they could be a part of these great times.

I have to say that I have the best parents ever and that I love them so much. You can just tell how much they truly love us and our children. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Pike for a great Christmas and for all that you do. We sure love you!

I am so lucky to be a part of this beautiful family!

All these great parties has wiped us out! Gotta love the naps!!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and that your New Year brings you joy and happiness!!
