Photo Overload!

Be prepared for a photo overload. We did so many fun things in July that I just had to share. We went camping, had a reunion, celebrated Taytum's first birthday and more

Boulder Trip #3

We headed back to the mountain for another trip. I didn't take many pictures this trip but we came across this cow that was stuck in the cattle guard. It was so sad. We called the forest service to let them know and they were able to come and get her out.
Two of the bulls we filmed.
Bull headed into the trees.
After the short camping trip, we came back to Richfield and enjoyed the parade with my sister Katie and her family. Katie wanted a cousin sleep over so she watched Taytum while we went camping.

Enjoying the parade.
One of the main things they do in this parade is throw ping pong balls. Taytum was sure to get one too, she needed something to munch on while we watched.
I made these hair bow out of some scrap ribbon.
Her cute $3 fourth of July outfit. I love that you can actually see her pigtails.

Paxman Reunion
Every two years the extended Paxman clan get together. This year we went up Provo Canyon and had lunch, games for the kids while the adults got caught up with each other lives. I regret that I didn't get any more pictures. Most the time I was trying to keep Taytum entertained so I only got a few.
Kyle and Todd playing a game similar to horse shoes.
During the reunion a medical helicopter had to land in the middle of the field to take some skate or die dude who had wrecked to the hospital. It provided some interesting entertainment.
The helicopter after it landed.
Taytum and I watching all the action.
Ella, who is Taytum's second cousin, is the closest in age on the Paxman side. They both weren't to sure of each other so we took a quick picture.

Taytum's 1st Birthday - July 23, 2010
We invited our families over for some hotdogs and hamburgers to celebrate Taytum's birthday. This year has gone so fast in many ways. I've loved watching her grow and learn things each and every day. Here's a list of some of my favorite things that she does:
*gives kisses
*copies everything we do.
*reads to her books when she's playing alone
*way she lights up when I get her out of her crib in the mornings.
*funny face expressions she does all of the time
*her motor noise
*great nap and bedtime sleeper
I could go on and on with all the little things but she truly is such a joy in our lives.

Taytum's cousin Dylan just wanted to hold her all night. I thought this was cute of him feeding her dinner.

BIRTHDAY CAKE!!

The one year old! Taytum was a real trooper. The beginning of the week, she had a fever for a couple of days and then by the time her birthday came, the fever was gone but she was covered in rash from head to toe and still wasn't feeling well ( I'm guessing she caught the Roseola virus). She was a real trooper and dug into her birthday cake and was pretty content for her birthday evening and all the attention she was getting. I still can't believe I have a one year old!

The Cake! This is the first creative cake I have ever made and I think I did an o.k job.
So Mom and Dad just put this ginormous cake in front of me. Now what do I do?

It didn't take long for her to jump right in and taste. Her first lick!
Loving it!

Frosting, YUM!
This was a new face. She kind of looks like she is upset but she would pull this face while making a weird sound then laugh. She's probably wondering what all this crap is that is in her nose.
The proud parents of a 1 year old.
Presents!! Grandpa Pike made me a bookshelf and Grandma Pike gave me some books to put on it, along with an outfit.
Uncle Todd, Aunt Koreen gave me a fun shirt and Mia gave her a teddy that used to be hers. Mia used to give this bear to her when she was just newly born so I though it was sweet that she gave it to her now.
Grandpa and Grandma Paxman gave me my first piggy bank with quite a bit of change already in it!
Uncle Keldon and Aunt Annette gave me these fun baby einstein books.
Mom and Dad gave me a new bike, picture album and books. In this picture, she is making the vroom, vroom noise.
Uncle Cody, Aunt Angela and Emree gave me this awesome giraffe and ball toy. She has loved this and has entertained her lots.
Also Uncle Kraig and Aunt NeVon and family gave her a singing pig, for some reason I didn't get a picture of it. As you can plainly see she was spoiled rotten and has a lot of people who love her.

Taytum's one year old stats:
weight = 19 pounds (26%)
Height = 28 in (20%)

Random July Pictures
She loves her toothbrush. Too bad we don't have any teeth to brush.
So silly.
We have been so lucky to have my niece over at least once a week this summer to play. Taytum sure loves her and we've had a lot fun making cookies, finger painting, going to the splash pad and more.
We have been to the splash pad a couple of times a week. It has been a nice way to cool off and it's free.
She liked the fountain when I was with her but apparently not when I sat her down to take a picture.
Yummy banana!
It seemed like yesterday that we were bringing Taytum home from the hospital in her infant carseat. Look how tiny she was. She went from being so tiny too...
.......being so big. I can't believe how fast time is going. Her new front facing car seat.
l
One day I had gone for a run, (which is why I look hideous and my face is all red) and when I got back Kyle started squirting us point blank with the hose. You would think that Taytum would start to squeal but she absolutely loved it and wanted more. It doesn't look like it but we are both soaked.

Daddy and me!
Playing with the fallen birthday balloons. Good thing I have a toothless one year old!
Her first sucker. I think she liked it. What do you think?
Cuteness. This is one of my favorite outfits on her.

More Play dates
Play date with Aydree and Abbie. I taught these twins when they were in Kindergarten and their mom currently helps me tend Taytum during the school year so we tried to get together a couple times during the summer so Taytum would remember her and hopefully still have an easy transition when school starts again.

We went to the Lehi Park and it was nice and shaded.
What a very busy, busy fun month. I hope August is just as fun.

Father's Day 2010

We all went to mom and dad's to celebrate Father's Day. Friday night we roasted hot dogs and ate marshmallows. We then raced each other around the house like we used to growing up, I think we can all say we aren't as fast as we used to but it was pretty funny to watch. Saturday morning we went fishing with Dad and then returned to his famous Dutch Oven chicken and vegetables (still one of my all time favorite meals). The kids played in the water and then we were on the road for home. We had been invited to go to the Strawberry Days Rodeo with our friends Ben and Brenae. It was a busy fun weekend and I hope we can do it again soon.

Daddy wanting to share his marshmallow.

So dad got out the slip in slide and pools so the kids could play in the water. Jacey wanted to take her down the slip in slide and I think her face explains it all that she didn't care to much it, but loved the little pool.
Grandma and kids.
Little toes.
I just think this is a sweet picture of her in her cute little swim suit walking through the grass. Gotta love the ruffle and those cheeks :) .
As most babies, she loves to be thrown in the air and always giggles and smiles.
I think we need a bigger pool. They all enjoyed this nice hot tub, since dad lugged many buckets of hot water so it wouldn't be so cold for the little ones.
Splashing with the cousins.
Taytum is a splasher. She gets her arms just a flappin and will copy most everything you do. In the tub at home she will lay on her back and her feet just start flying, it's pretty funny.
She loves water as long as she's in control. Content and happy in this pic.
Angela and Emree.
Katie, Luke, and Jeremy. I think we all were a bit tired, since the cute little stinker in the middle kept us all up all night, but you can't resist his cute little dimples.
Kennedy and Jacey
Fishing on Weber!
As part of Father's day, we wanted to take Dad fishing down on the river by the house. We all caught some pretty decent fish and it was a lot fun.
Dad's nice fish.
Kyle just caught sticks. Just kidding, he did catch a couple but they always got off before I could get a picture. Fun morning of fishing on the Weber River.
Playdate
One day we had a Playdate with cousin Mia. We made cookies and went to the park. Taytum just loves her!

Boulder Trip #2
As we reached the base of the mountain it had stopped raining and we got the beautiful rainbow shot below. By the time we got to the top of the mountain we were in a blizzard for quite awhile. It probably snowed at least 3 inches and it's the middle of June! The rest of the trip was rather rainy but we did get in one hike while the sun came out for awhile. I really wanted to take Taytum on this trip but my mom really wanted to have her for the weekend and after snow and rain I'm glad she stayed under a nice warm roof.
As you cross this bridge, there is about 1500 foot drop off on each side. Scary!
From trees to rock and back again. Beautiful.
Top of the World.

Random June Pics

It's pretty apparent that she doesn't like cantalope.
Girls and their Headbands.
It takes all about two seconds for her to manage to take it off......
and look at me with her beautiful blue eyes as if to say "what".

Taytum's new favorite past time - Making messes! Whatever to keep her busy for a few minutes While I'm able to accomplish other household needs.

My co-workers gave me this backpack when she was born and we love it. She loves to ride in it whether were hiking or mowing the lawn.
Tired Baby.
She finds the funniest sleeping positions
Sweet Dreams

Coming soon: 4th of July weekend.
