November Happenings

THANKSGIVING WITH THE PAXMANS

Taytum, ready and waiting for her grub.

Enjoying Thanksgiving meal with the family. It's always so nice to get together and be in each others company. I appreciate everything my family does for me and I'm so thankful to have both our families fairly close.

The day wouldn't be complete without a little card playing. Here we are playing "Bannanas".

Dancing with Grandpa. Grandpa loves to sing to Taytum and she really was kicking up her hills and stomping her feet. It was very sweet. We love grandpa so much.

and football of course!!! (Notice he is looking at purses, hmmm Christmas maybe??)
I have so many things to be thankful for: my hubby, my daughter, the gospel, our family, friends, work, good health, a fire place, books, pictures, DVD's, love sac for cuddling with my hubby each evening, nap time, and the memories I make each and every day.

Happy Anniversary!
I can't believe another year has passed. Kyle and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on November 18th. We celebrated by going to one of our favorite sushi restaurants, KOI. Afterwards we went and saw Unstoppable at the movie theater. It's been awhile since we've been able to do that so it was a nice evening. Just when you think it can't get any better it does. Each and everyday I love Kyle more. Thanks babe for all you do.

This is a picture of the bouquet of flowers he sent to my work. Beautiful! I got him a Red Sox hat which I have to return because he must be getting smarter as the hat was too small.

First Snow Day.
So I got everything on and sat her down on the sidewalk and went to grab her boots that were just inside the door. I come back and she had already made her way into the snow with just her socks. Needless to say we had to find a new pair of sock but she liked the snow and was very curious about it.
I love that she is still able to walk with all of this garb on.

Cruising the sidewalk. I love her wet bum in this pic.

She has so much fun with this little walker. I love that she has her tongue sticking out here.

So the minute I brought her in from outside and started taking off her snow suit she started crying and going for the door but we were out for at least a half hour and her rosy cheeks and cold hands brought us indoors.

Hot Chocolate made it all better. This the first time she has ever had any hot (or should I say, warm) cocoa. She loved it of course.
RANDOM PICS FOR NOVEMBER
Look Ma, no hands. She had this sock in her mouth for most of the evening. Silly child.

I don't know what she is doing here but I think it's funny. You will see many pictures of Taytum on the stairs. It's her favorite place in the house. Sometimes she'll sit there and carry on a conversation for quite a long time.

Taytum loves to look out the window and I will find her here often.

Shutterfly Christmas Cards!!

Wow!! I can't even believe that we will be celebrating Thanksgiving next week let alone that Christmas is right around the corner. It's time to be thinking about which awesome Christmas card we will be sending this year.

This will be only our second year sending out christmas cards and it really saves money and everyone enjoys getting them so it will be something we do year after year. After seeing a friends blog and heard about Shutterfly I had to check it out for myself. Not only did I see some great card ideas but did you know that Shutterfly is giving away 50 FREE Christmas cards?? YES it is true - 50 free cards. Bloggers get 50 free holiday cards from shutterfly, check it out at http://bit.ly/sfly2010. I don't know about you but I'ld say that is a great deal. Anywhere I can save during the holidays is a plus in my book.

The problem now is trying to choose which Christmas card to pick since there are so many great ones. I love the ones that allows you to put multiple pictures on like this one......

Witches Breakfast.
Towards the beginning of October the Pike clan went to Gardner Village to the Witches Breakfast. This is where they feed you breakfast while a bunch of witches walk around signing autographs and putting 0n a little show. It was a lot of fun!. We went to Morgan the day before to drop off dad's trailor and play with Kennedy, Jacey, and Luke.

Taytum loves to swing. One day, hopefully, I will have a swing in my yard.
Taytum got to play with her cousins while Kyle and I went fishing down on the Weber.

I was winner this time. I caught 2 fish(see the giant below) while Kyle got zilch.
Cute Halloween outfit to go to the witches breakfast.

One of the many witches that we saw.

While the witches were performing, Tayters really got into it and was clapping and dancing. It was really funny to watch.
Grandma and Grandpa with the kiddos
This was the best family pic we got since we were looking straight into the sun.

Halloween 2010

To get ready for Halloween this year, we had our annual pumpkin carving and dinner with our good friend Melynda. While we were waiting for Melynda, Taytum found this gourd and was chasing it around the kitchen.

Taytum playing with the pumpkin seeds and gooeyness. It entertained her for a little bit while we got carving.

MY HUBBY!
Taytum helping me de-go the pumpkin.

WE HAVE MAD SKILLS!

Kyle's pumpkin. We decided his pumpkin definitely won this year.

Thanks M for coming, we had a blast.

Don't we look alike? Her pumpkin had to have a bink since she really loves her bink.

Halloween Night!!
MY cute bumblebee
We ended up just going to Grandma and Grandpa Paxmans since it was raining. Afterward we went out to eat to avoid most of the trick or treaters. It was a fun night.
The costume had this bee head but she didn't like it very much so that's why I made the antennae head band.

October Random Pics

Taytum's balancing act. She was concentrating so hard on making that block stay on her toes.
More sweet nectar. She loves empty cartons, so that she can put the lids on and off.
By our front door, we have a shoe nook and she loves to take all the shoes off the shelves and try to put them on.
jelly doughnut anyone?
I have no ideas what she is doing here, but I think it is so funny.

She loves playing on the stairs and goes up very easily but hasn't quite learned how to turn around to come down on her own so this is the face we see often as she yells for us to come help her.
Where's your belly?
Cute sunday outfit. I just love these boots she got from her cousin Em.
Beautiful!!

Another spaghetti dinner that I just let her go on.
Cute Pigtails
Cruising around on her walker. We seriously do this every single day.
Blue sky. Blue eyes. I love fall.

We did make it down south for the annual October deer hunt. Kyle and I both had general tags so we went and hit the Dutton. We didn't see much but a bunch of does and a little 2 point. As always it was a lot of fun to be together doing the things we love.

Hope everyone had a great october and we look forward to November. For those who don't know, Kyle found a job!!! He will be working in Provo for a place called Wavetronics. We're excited for this new step. Also Taytum had her 15 month checkup and she is 20 pounds (15%) and 29 inches tall (11%).
