So I was driving to work one day with my sweet angel in the back seat. Now Taytum seems to enjoy her car seat and rarely fusses on our drive to work -except for this one day. The whole 10 minutes of the 15 minute drive she is letting me know that she is not happy; but I'm driving so obviously there's not much that I can do. I arrive at work and go to get her out and this is why she's fussing. I thought it was so funny I just had to take a picture. Silly headband wasn't cooperating.

Blessing Day!!
Getting Ready.
Dad helping me do up the buttons in her cute white, puffy dress.
Looking too cute.
I was successful in catching this spit up but just as we got her buckled into her car seat and was headed out the door, she let loose and yes had to have spit up down the front of her the rest of the day.
Our cute little family.
She is just too cute. I just love her so much!!
Looking absolutely bored of all the picture taking.
Kennedy, Jacey, Luke, and Taytum
I wish I would have had pictures with all of her cousins because they all love her so much but it was kind of a crazy, happy day.

Hiking, Glassing and Sleeping. Oh my!
As you can see, after a long wait and much needed break. We sported our hiking boots and headed for the mountain for Labor day weekend. My sister graciously took our little one into her home for two nights and we spent some quality time together doing the things we love most.
We also spent some time looking for bulls and saw quite a few. Kyle is actually currently out there with his nephew helping him with his elk hunt. Hopefully they can come home successful. Here we are checking out a few bulls.
I forgot to take a picture of our brand new tent that is huge and incredibly nice. Not to mention all the sleep I got this weekend, not having to get up a couple times throughout the night. We even got in a nap or two during the afternoons. I love sleep. Though I will admit that at seven weeks our little Taytum started sleeping through the night. On average she has been sleeping from 9:00 p.m to 5:30 a.m. I can live with that.

Not a monster but a nice looking bull that we got real close too.

Taytum Update
Wow! Taytum looks so little here. I guess this would be considered our first family picture. As I was looking back at our pictures, I realized that Kyle and I were never in any of the photos together except for this one taken a couple of weeks ago.
This was Taytum's first time going to church. She wasn't being very cooperative so this is all we got. She is so cute in her polka dotted dress.
Compared to her last bath picture, she is now enjoying her bath a lot more. We have since moved on to a little tub instead of the sink but bath time is much more enjoyable these days.
And here is our little Tayters smiling and cooing. She is getting to be so talkative and I just love it when she talks and smiles at me when I walk in the room. I still can't believe how fast and big she is getting. I love the way she stretches when she's waking up and the way she always sneezes four or five times in a row. I love to kiss her cheeks that are filling out quickly and the way her eyes gets so big when her dad tries to eat her. I was lucky and had my camera ready and I just love this picture of her.

3 Weeks old already??
I can't believe its been 3 weeks already. Time has flown by and I can"t believe how much she has grown in such a little time. Life around the Paxman's house has definitely changed as we knew it would and we knew it would be quite the adjustment but she is precious and we just love her tons.

Taytum's First Bath
She looks mildly content in the picture above but the next picture really depicts how she feels about bath time. She absolutely hates it and still screams everytime.

I love to lay on my Daddy's chest.
Poor Kyle's been under the weather and hasn't been feeling well. We spent a night in the ER and that wasn't fun but we've had some tests done at the hospital and hopefully that will show what's wrong so we can get him on the mend.

The sleeping little angel.
I love that her cheeks are starting to fill out.
I'm sad that this photo is blurry but I like it anyway.

Taytum has already blessed our home so much and she is loved by so many people. I love that she already holds her binkie in her mouth and that she has Kyle's forehead wrinkles. I love how she smiles when she's falling asleep and the fish face that she makes when you take away the bottle. We love you Taytum.

She's here!!!!
Taytum LaRee Paxman
She is so adorable and was born on July 23rd, 2009. She weighed 6 pounds and 1 ounce and was 18 inches long. She looks just like her daddy and I love it. We went ahead and had an induction scheduled the day after my due date. The drugs were started at 11:30, Thursday morning. An hour later he broke my water and the contractions really started coming but with modern marvels such as the epidural, life wasn't to bad. At 2:30 I was dilated to a five and by 4:30 to an eight. The nurse said "I'll come check ya again at 6:30". Before the clock even turned 5:00 she was back in the room and I had dilated to a 10. She called the doctor and told us we'd do some pushing while we waited for the doc. I pushed through two contractions when the nurse suddenly looks worried and tells me we need to wait for the doc. At this point, she was already in the birth canal and as many of you know, this was not a very pleasant feeling. The nurse was trying to hide her worry but there was obviously too much bleeding and she was super worried, paging the doctor every minute. The doc came running in and was equally concerned, and said we needed to get her out now. Two pushes later and she was out. It was unreal, I never expected to deliver that quickly. Kyle got to cut the umbilical cord and they checked her over and despite everything she was good and healthy. It took the doctor over an hour to get me put back together again but it was amazing to sit and stare at this little being on my chest. She was so alert and we're so happy she's here. We came home saturday and we're officially on our own as first timers but we're happy and learning together. We just love our little Taytum!!!

Before and After
So we've been wanting to paint the walls of our house for awhile now and with the baby coming, we thought why not start with our two extra bedrooms. We picked out a textured paint called granite which you will see is on the bottom half of the wall. For the top, we chose a lighter tan. Now I can't take much more credit than that because Kyle refused to let me help. He's always looking after me, so for two weeks he'd come home from work and spend the evenings painting and putting up the chair rail (the molding in the middle of the wall) on this project. The granite paint was more difficult than we thought, but it turned out really, really nice. RC Willey was having a deal on carpet so we thought why not, and got carpet too. We love it and everything complemented each other well.
Before..... plain white walls, carpet torn out and Kyle excited to get the project started.

This picture sums it up about how excited Kyle is now that the painting and carpet is done. He really worked hard on this and I am so appreciative of all he's done.

This will be the baby's room. The second bedroom looks just like this one which we use as a guest room and also where I scrapbook.
And for those of you wondering, No I have not had the baby yet. My due date is Wednesday. For three weeks my doctor has told me "any day now, you'll definitely go early" because of how much progress I've made. I have learned my lesson not to always believe what he says, but we really like him anyway. So hopefully I don't go over to much. Kyle has high hopes that if she stays in and bakes an extra day or two she'll come out potty trained, boy is he in for a treat. Love ya babe!!

After.... without furniture.
